The grieving father of Goldman Sachs analyst John Castic says his cause of death was drowning, after he was pulled from a Brooklyn creek.

Castic was seen on surveillance video walking past a Doughboys pizza truck parked outside Brooklyn Mirage at around 3.15am on Saturday morning.

He had just left his friends inside and was on his way back to the apartment he rents on the Lower East Side. After a frantic search over Sunday and Monday, police yesterday recovered his body from the Newtown Creek on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old's father Jeffrey Castic told Fox News Digital that the coroner determined that his cause of death was drowning.

'At the moment we're trying to focus on the positive of his life. He was a bright, charismatic, caring and hardworking young man,' he said.

The medical examiner is still awaiting the results of a toxicology report, but Jeffrey Castic says police believed that his son may have consumed alcohol or drugs.

Earlier this week, Jeffrey Castic told DailyMail.com that the NYPD did not think his death was suspicious and he believe he may have died from a fatal peanut allergy.

John Castic, 27, was last seen leaving the Bushwick-Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn at 2:30am on Sunday morning. His remains were discovered midday Tuesday

Castic, a Goldman Sachs analyst, looked calm and in control as he strode past a Doughboys pizza truck parked outside Brooklyn Mirage at around 3.15am on Saturday morning. He was walking north along Stewart Avenue in the direction of the portion of the creek where his body was found.

The 27-year-old vanished after telling friends he was on his way to an Uber to get home

He also revealed that prior to leaving the music venue, John told his friends that he was feeling unwell.

'He was at the club and he started to catch ill so he said to his friends that he was going home.

'We think he either had an allergic reaction - he was allergic to peanuts and maybe ate something without realizing that it contained peanuts - or there was an undetected allergy mixed with alcohol.

'There is no indication of foul play,' Jeffrey Castic said.

In June, 27-year-old Karl Clemente died after being turned away from the Brooklyn Mirage because he had been drinking.

Jeffrey Castic said the family was well aware of Clemente's case, but that the cops have so far not drawn any connection between the two incidents.

A heavy police presence was seen in Newtown Creek, near the Brooklyn Mirage, Tuesday morning. Castic's body was found in the water

Police confirmed the body was Castic several hours after it was found midday Tuesday

'All of his personal effects were in his possession, where they should have been, so there was no robbery. So far it doesn't look like foul play,' he said.

He added that his son was 'very happy' in New York City, where he lived with roommates, and that he was performing well at work.

'He was a bright, charismatic young man. He had lots of friends and loved to travel.'

He is the second young man to have gone missing from Brooklyn Mirage and been found in the creek in the last eight weeks.

In June, 27-year-old Karl Clemente also vanished from the same location.

His body was pulled from the creek days later. Clemente hadn't even made it inside to see the music act he ventured to the club for.

Security turned him away for being too drunk on arrival, according to reports at the time.

When his body was pulled from the water, there were no obvious signs of trauma. His death was ruled as non-suspicious.

The two deaths have sent chills through the local community and music lovers who frequent the venue.

Karl Clemente was last seen at Brooklyn Mirage on June 11, and his body found in a nearby creek on June 16. Police do not believe his death to be suspicious, but are investigating
